HAPPY TRAFFIC SEASON!

We're releasing our June flash later in the month because .... that's when our public performances are - two luncheon theatre shows at Tom McBrien's Restaurant at 174 Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays, (631) 728-7137:

HATE MAIL

Thursday, June 21 at Noon

Our premiere performance of the popular romantic comedy "Hate Mail" by Bill Corbett and Kira Obolensky. The play is in the form of letters read by two characters, but the similarity to “Love Letters” ends there. “Hate Mail” includes correspondence through letters, faxes and email and is a wildly hilarious ride. Playwrights Corbett and Obolensky wrote the play by actually taking on the characters and writing to each other in real time.

Preston, an entitled trust fund kid, meets his match in Dahlia, an angry artist. Their worlds collide when Preston returns a Times Square souvenir along with a complaint letter to the shop that Dahlia manages. Their ensuing exchange gets Dahlia fired from her job, and then there's no turning back. The play stays with their increasingly crazed correspondence as their relationship moves evolves in thoroughly unexpected ways.

Brittany Brown, currently featured as Amelia Earhart in “Soaring!” plays Dahlia, and Eric Trigg will play the role of Preston.

THE number to call for reservations is (631) 728-7137.

AMELIA EARHART & MARTHA GRAHAM: SOARING!

Saturday, June 23 at Noon

"Amelia Earhart and Martha Graham: Soaring!" returns starring Bobbie Ruth as The Mother of Modern Dance and Brittany Brown as the boyishly charming, no-nonsense "flyer flapper". Major laughs, major credit cards at (631) 728-7137.

Our shows at Tom McBrien's are available to groups - you set the time and menu. They are popular with social clubs and wedding parties.

HOMOFILES

The River Theatre Company is developing an exciting new full-length play titled "Homofiles" with support from The Unitarian Universalist Fund for a Better Society. We are conducting interviews with people from the local GLBT communities and their family members. The goal is to develop an original play that explores how and why discrimination still exists here; to illuminate what lies beneath the thin veneer of liberality. If you would like to receive more information about this project please respond to toni@dermontandmunna.com. Perhaps you would like to be interviewed or to submit your own written story by email.

THANKS…
